A Modern Ophelia

This is the John Everett Millais classic painting of Ophelia drowned (from Shakespeare’s Hamlet)

John Everett Millais Ophelia

I found this at an gallery in Houston,TX  by Brooke Shaden.  Her photo is an update of this lovely painting.  There are striking similarities as well as differences, but there is a continuity between the two that spoke to me.
