Shadi Ghadirian is professional photographer from Iran.  Her work has been shown around the world in galleries.  Her series “Nil, Nil” shows the implements of war in peaceful home settings.  In the Middle East it has become apparent to me that they have a different concept of home than my western view.  Even so, seeing the implements of war and violence in a home, and seeing on television the reality of the violence happening in Syria and Iraq-I think that war and the idea of war spills over into the home.  These stresses are difficult for me to imagine as I live in peace.   To see more of  Shadi Ghadirian’s fantastic work check out her website.
