Plucked from
The ocean depths
Pried from an
Oyster’s gullet
Run against your
Teeth gritty
Like the sandy
Bottom of the
Ocean bottom
Salty like tears
Smashed with
A hammer
Reduced to white
The same
Dust left over
When they
Tear down
Your house
Fragile, lovely
Strung together
Nestling against
Your throat
Each one fragile
A scream
A death
Pain untold
Strung together
Hung together
Light as a feather
Creating beauty
Pulled from the depths
