“Like Barley Bending”

Like barley bending
In low fields by the sea,
Singing in hard wind

Like barley bending
And rising again,
So would I, unbroken,
Rise from pain;

So would I softly,
Day long, night long,
Change my sorrow
Into song.

Sara Teasdale

I am suffering from Eosinophilic Esophagitis and pain in my upper right abdomen which may or may not be related.  I also suffer from chronic migraine.  Doctors = 0 Pain = approximately 35 (I’ve stopped counting).  I am not working, dating, traveling, raising children, going to school or otherwise doing anything else productive I should be doing at this stage in my life.  I live at home with my parents and I am in the midst of applying for disability.  There, all my dirty laundry.

I am writing to improve my writing, to keep myself sane, and to keep my mind active.  I have no allusions of being an artist – I do however want to show case all the amazing art that is out there.  I hope people see the art that I post and go see the artist’s page.  I hope they buy their art and promote their art.   I think art is amazing.   Art is a crucial part of culture, of who we are as Americans and citizens of this world.  All art – from around the world.  The best part of the internet allows us to see art from world, to be influenced by, to uplifted by it, and if we’re luck to be changed by it.
